About The Teacher
Welcome to the St. Agnes School 4th Grade webpage. I have been teaching at St. Agnes School since 2003. I have been a member of the parish since 1989 and love the sense of community and support here.
I received my Bachelors Degree from Holy Names University in Oakland and my Teaching Credential from St. Mary's College in Moraga. I have extensive experience working in the corporate environment, but have truly found my passion in teaching in a Catholic school.
My children have graduated from St. Agnes School and both have gone on the study in the UC system. I attribute much of their academic success on the solid foundation and sense of self-confidence they developed during their time at St. Agnes School. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this staff.
Classroom Philosophy
As students enter 4th grade, they make a transition from "learning to read" to "reading to learn." I try to guide the students through this transition, teaching them to think critically, develop strong organizational and study skills, and apply things they learn across all curricular areas. I honor the uniqueness of each student and work to help them reach their God-given potential.
