Bible Bullet

Vatican II told the faithful that Jesus is present in the Eucharist, the Word, and in each other.  We acknowledge His presence in the Eucharist.  We strive to see Him in each other daily.  To experience the Word of God richly, we must reflect on the writer, his style, the era, the setting, the audience, the culture of writer and his audience, and the meaning of the words to the original audience. 

Scriptural experts have written commentaries through the years after much research into pertinent background information.  The Bible Bullets, which are offered here, are composites of various commentaries that I use to glean meaningful information for us today.  The teachers are provided these so that reflections on the upcoming Sunday liturgies might be enhanced with background details.  These are offered to our school families through the website in the hope that each family’s experience of God’s Word on Sunday may also be enriched.
