Welcome!
I’m Mrs. Concepcion, the Reading Support Teacher at St. Agnes for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. I have been a teacher for 19 years—14 of those here at St. Agnes. Over the years, I’ve taught both 1st and 2nd grade, and now I’m blessed to focus entirely on reading support. Every day I have the privilege of working with wonderful students and families in this special Catholic community, where I’ve experienced the joy of being both a teacher and a parent.

My Role
As the Reading Support teacher, I meet daily with small groups during their classroom’s designated reading time. Together, we work on:

Phonemic & phonological awareness

Phonics and syllabication

Decoding & encoding skills

Reading fluency & comprehension

I collaborate closely with classroom teachers to assess and identify students who would benefit from a small group setting. Each group meets for 60 minutes, providing targeted instruction tailored to individual needs.

About Me
I grew up in Clayton as the youngest of ten children and graduated from Clayton Valley High School before earning my degree at Cal Poly. My husband and I have three amazing daughters—all proud graduates of St. Agnes! In our free time, you’ll find us hiking, backpacking, or making weekly trips to the beach.

I look forward to another school year of learning, growth, and joy in reading!
