Jailhouse Rock! is an energetic, uplifting musical that explores the joy and freedom we have in Christ.
The story begins as a group of children arrives at Camp Koinonia, excited for a week filled with hiking, swimming, and outdoor fun. However, their plans quickly change when a sudden torrential downpour forces them indoors, leaving them “jailed” in the mess hall.
While they wait out the storm, the Camp Director and Junior Counselors guide the children through powerful biblical stories of Paul, Silas, and Peter, who also experienced being “locked up.” Through these stories, the campers discover how prayer and praise can transform even the most challenging situations, reminding them that true freedom comes from faith.

Being part of the Spring Production is an exciting opportunity, but it also comes with responsibility. All cast members must have approval from their parent(s)/guardian(s) and classroom teacher, and their signatures are required on this form. Rehearsals will take place during lunchtime, so be prepared to commit your time. Remember: strong grades and positive behavior are essential—not only for being selected, but for staying in the cast!
