Second Grade
Hello, welcome to 2nd grade! I’m Mrs. Sacco. It is an honor to be a part of the St. Agnes family. I have been working at St. Agnes since 2014.
I have been teaching 2nd grade in the Oakland Diocese for 21 years.
I am originally from the east coast. I lived in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York. My family and I moved out to California when I was in 8th grade. I went to Carondelet High School and the University of Colorado, in Boulder. When I’m not working, I enjoy snowboarding, running, mountain biking, reading, watching sports and most of all spending time with my husband and our two sons.

Hello! I’m Mrs. Hernandez, and I’m thrilled to begin my first year as a teacher’s assistant at St. Agnes School. While this is my first year at St. Agnes, my journey in education began years ago, working with children on the autism spectrum at Otis Elementary in Alameda-a role that sparked my deep passion for helping kids learn and grow.
Homework
Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. Homework should take no more than 30 minutes, including nightly reading. I check all homework. I strongly believe in the value positive support plays in motivating children to develop good study habits.
Parents are an important part of making homework a positive experience for their children. Therefore, I ask that you make homework a priority in your household.
Spelling words will be assigned every Monday and the students will be tested on Friday.
